Elegant, classic, sophisticated--so often people use these words to describe style icon and screen legend, Audrey Hepburn. Ironically, Audrey Hepburn's chic, minimalist style is often the most difficult to copy, simply because her look was so effortless. There is hope, however. Audrey herself once claimed that her style is attainable, and the following steps can help guide you toward achieving your own Audrey Hepburn aura.

Step1
Recreate Audrey's wide-eyed look with makeup. Line your upper lash with black liquid eyeliner; gradually thicken the line as you approach the outer corner of the eye. Apply a shimmery dab of white shadow to the inner corner of the eyelid.
Step2
Style your hair in a classic up-do if it’s long, as Audrey did for her most memorable role in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." If you have short hair, choose a pixie-cut with an extreme side part to recreate Audrey's look in the film "Wait Until Dark." Also add some short fringe or bangs to accentuate your eyes.
Step3
Wear capris. To imitate Audrey best, choose slim-fit capris paired with ballet flats, which Audrey wore in the film "Sabrina."
Step4
Opt for boatnecks on tops and dresses. Audrey first popularized this just-below-the-collarbone look with the Givenchy-designed dresses she wore in her film, "Sabrina." Nowadays, the neckline has become eponymous with the film and is still available by Givenchy and other designers.
Step5
Maintain good posture. Although she may have looked petite onscreen, Audrey was actually a tall 5 foot 7 inches, which she played up by maintaining a dignified, almost regal posture.
Step6
Study dance to achieve Audrey's graceful onscreen movements. Audrey was formally trained in dance and initially planned to become a prima-ballerina; however, she soon found that acting was a more lucrative career choice. Still, the refined sense of balance and grace she achieved through dance contributed to Audrey's acting presence.
Step7
Remember the three S's--simple, sophisticated and sleek.
